A Heart for the Community
The YMCA will be creating approximately 35-40 positions (full-time, part-time) to operate the aquatics and fitness sections of the facility. They will be providing a number of services including health, fitness, family programs, child care, employment services and leadership development.
At the new wellness centre, the YMCA will be providing a number of services. Having the help of the YMCA is an excellent opportunity for the facility because of the social conscience that their organization uses to guide their operations. All services provided by the YMCA will be extended to visitors regardless of their race, sex, religion, or economic circumstance.
An Equal Access Facility
In a community as diverse as Happy Valley-Goose Bay, it is incredibly important for us to ensure that all persons have equal access to these new facilities. The services that will be offered by the YMCA are health and wellness, family programs, child care, employment services and leadership development, all vital services for the people of Labrador.
