The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay hosted a special event to officially open the new Labrador Wellness Centre!
The Town hosted a special event to officially open the new Labrador Wellness Centre. Operated by the YMCA of Newfoundland and Labrador under a partnership agreement with the Town, the Central Labrador YMCA began a soft, phased opening in July 2021. On September 15, the Premier, Ministers, Mayor, leaders from Innu First Nation, NunatuKavut Community Council, and Nunatsiavut Government, and the YMCA all spoke at the special opening event. It was an exciting day to see Canada’s first Northern YMCA and newest YMCA coming to life.
